As the world has moved to E-Activities/E-Operations such as E-commerce, E-health and so on, Information Communication Technology (ICT) has become a corner-stone of economic development including social networking. INFODIGTECH For Community Empowerment focuses on empowering community with information communication technology skills and knowledge to create informed people who are capable of emancipating themselves from economic slavery while improving their livelihoods and become mannered citizens of the land. The uniqueness of our organization is that it saves communities by adding value on their livelihoods through building their capacities on the proper/positive and economic use of ICT.
The activities of our organization are creatively designed and branded to meet the community immediate needs. The purpose of our organization is to offer inclusive, accessible and sustainable ICT community services that will never antagonize the best practices that adapts to each person’s needs to enhance public health and safety. INFODIGTECH For Community Empowerment differentiate itself from the rest through tracking performance against targets in order to identify trends, non-compliance, successes and areas in need of improvement. We are proud to say that we are running an organization that is closer to the heart of Tanzanian community.
ORGNIZATION BACKGROUND
INFODIGTECH For Community Empowerment is a non-government and non-profit organization registered in the Republic of Tanzania with Reg. no. 00NGO/R/1595. The organization was organized in 2020 and received full registration in January 2021. The organization began its operation in the same year of registration and is based around Lake Victoria in GEITA Town near Samua Laboratory, NMB Bank and NBC bank in Tanzania. The organization was established with an agenda of training and equipping Tanzanian community with skills and knowledge on the proper/positive and economic use of ICT including positive and acceptable use of internet and social media. The organization target groups such as youth including those with disabilities, marginalized and disadvantaged groups such as women and girls, rural dwellers, indigenous people (maasai, Hadzabe, Iraqw, Akie, Parakuyo and Barabaig) ethnic minorities, people with disabilities, migrants and refugees, school dropouts, people living in sober houses and street children. The organization aims as well to train workers from different sectors of the economy who lack ICT skills and knowledge such as health workers, Teachers, Engineers, Bankers, Security forces, politicians, Miners particularly small and artisanal miners, Farmers and business people particularly the machingas.
It is true that the advancement of science and technology is the challenge that jeopardizes the stability and wellbeing of the society in present and future generations, thus INFODIGTECH For Community Empowerment is engaging to restore and promote the positive uses of information Digital Technology as equal integration of both male and female particularly the disadvantaged and marginalized groups in the development projects for mutual benefit of the society. Therefore, With ICTs playing a crucial role in applications across the world and at either end of the development spectrum, and with such a high impact on people, such agenda and strategies are purely and precisely significant. The scope of our services range from empowerment, creating awareness to building capacities on the proper/positive and economic use of ICT through training, advisory services, workshops, seminars, Rallies and mobilization. The organization possesses qualified and experienced team of professionals that delivers quality and timed services for community development and livelihood improvement.
